Locating the Ontario Equine Centre at Arkell makes a whole lot of horse sense.
Designated as Green Belt, the site is near the University of Guelph, has easy access to Highway 401, and Pearson International Airport.
This land has the necessary flat area for offices, sales pavilion, training, and show facilities, as well as the rolling terrain needed for three-day equestrian eventing.
The OEC will be an economic stimulus and a tourism magnet, yet still protect environmentally sensitive areas like the underlying Guelph aquifer and the moraine segment.
Over half of Ontario’s estimated 375,000 horses are located within 100 miles of Arkell.
The Ontario Equine Centre is the perfect project for both the horse industry and the Province-- Arkell is the perfect site!
